Deck and Balcony Inspection Services & Cost

California Deck Inspection (CDI) will perform an inspection and report findings on your apartment building or HOA condominium as required by the California SB 721 and SB 326 laws, with minimal disruption to residents. In addition, we will go an extra step to provide professional tips and recommendations for routine maintenance and care of your exterior elements.

Our Services Include:

  • Inspection of stairways, balconies, landings, walkways, railings and support structures
  • Inspection of metal flashings at edges, walls and transitions
  • Inspection of waterproof traffic coatings and systems
  • Detailed report by a certified inspector which contains annotated photos
  • Courtesy tips and recommendations for routine interval maintenance
  • Reporting and follow up with the local building department on conditions that are deemed dangerous and a life safety issue (subject to an additional fee)
  • Archiving of report

Cost of Inspection:

The pro-rata cost per apartment or condominium unit is approximately 25 cents to $2.50 per month per unit, depending on the size of the complex.
